Welcome to my website where you can view my semi-abstract and abstract landscape oil paintings. There are groupings of work created over the years that differ in techniques but are similar in focus. I try to capture my reactions to life through color, line, and composition.

Living by the Sea

My studio is in Harpswell, Maine. I overlook a bay where I can watch the sky transform and the tides turn. The grass, trees, and swaths of granite and sedimentary rocks line the shore. Their beauty and destruction by changes in the environment are sources for images which I use to create imaginary landscapes in which I try to convey my thoughts. The work below are newer paintings.
